“Origins” collection
EntraIrregular material extruded onto thick canvas, soft yet rough surfaces, painted with iron and copper powder, attacked by rust and oxidized, in a long, unpredictable process of aging and chromatic transformation. Time thus passes on the object and the subject, leaving its marks.
Always fascinated by rust and oxidation processes, I paint subjects that live and transform slowly and imperceptibly, subjects that age in a perpetual transformation of beauty.
Materia irregolare estrusa spessa tela, superfici morbide, intime, ruvide, verniciate con polvere di ferro e rame, aggredite dalla ruggine e ossidate, in un lungo imprevedibile cammino di invecchiamento e trasformazione cromatica. Il tempo trascorre così sull’oggetto e sul soggetto lasciando i suoi segni.
Da sempre affasciato dalla ruggine e dai processi ossidativi dipingo soggetti che vivono e si trasformano lentamente e impercettibilmente, soggetti che invecchiano in una perenne trasformazione della bellezza.
Un inno intimo e sensuale alla grande trasformatrice del ferro, traccia materica del tempo che passa non solo sulle cose ma anche sulle storie.

Dipingo le vele, le loro geometrie, la struttura, la trama e le forme arditamente progettate per distillare la forza brutale del vento.
Scelgo di evidenziare con filamenti materici in 3D, come in una sorta di radiografia il complesso scheletro di ciascuna di queste possenti superfici portanti in grado di piegarsi e sorreggere il vento rubandone, ad ogni raffica spinta e velocità. Trieste è la città della regata più grande del mondo: ricordo da sempre il tintinnio sibilante delle drizze percosse dal vento, delle rande che sbattono violentemente ad ogni virata, dell’ infrangersi delle onde sugli scafi e del sibilare della bora sulla superficie graffiata del golfo.
“Ultra Sailing” è un omaggio alla bora che sferza le vele di Trieste.
